Kamininarimon Gate (雷门)
Main Gate
This id the front gate of the temple, which was rebuilt in 1860, 95 years after the former gate was lost in fire. Fujin, the god of the wind, is in the right side section of the gate and Raijin, the god of the thounder, in the left side. In back of the gate are two colourful statues of the Dragon gods, which became part of the gate's Buddhist arts in 1978 in Celebration of the temple's 1350th anniversary.
